How did mexicans earn a living in the late 1800's, and where did they do this work?

 Some mexicans as well as african-americans in the southwest were forced into debt by peonage, a system the bounds laborers in slavery in order to work of debts.





Describe African-American life in the 1900's where did they move to, what they experienced?

 In the decades following the civil war (1861-1865), southern state legislature passed laws that aimed to limit civil rights for african americans
